Apple said that more than 100,000 iPhone SDKs have been downloaded since the announcement on March 6th. That’s a lot of developers wanting to write Hello World on the iPhone.And our friends KPCB who have $100 M to invest in iPhone Software Plans have received more plans that they expected.

RIM can’t be that happy with life right now.

There have been various news stories about how Safari has become the number one mobile browser of all mobile devices in the US even though the iPhone has a relatively small market share compared to Rim and Windows based devices.We have just seen a report in WebUser from the UK that shows the iPhone has three times the market share of Rim in the UK and that Nokia / Symbian is the leader.  This is after the iPhone has been available since November last year.Anybody who has tried mobile browsing on a Blackberry will not be that surprised.Apple is continuing to develop the iPhone and iPod Touch into a mobile computing platform with a user experience that is far more compelling that any other mobile device.

T Mobile in Austrai and O2 in Ireland land the iPhone.Prices are 399 Euros for the 8Gb and 499 Euros for the 16Gb version.  You will be locked in for two years and 18 months respectively.This brings the Eropean total to 5 as these fresh faces join Germany, France and the UK.Apple still expect to shift some 10 M units in 2008.
